Barcelona release a statement claiming that they are unsure how long Neymar will be out of action for after picking up a "minor" groin strain.

Barcelona have released a statement indicating that they are unsure when Neymar will return to action after picking up a "minor" groin strain.

The Brazilian suffered the injury during a training session prior to the Catalans' 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

A statement from Barcelona said: "Neymar Jr has a minor groin strain, as had already been diagnosed on Tuesday. The Brazilian's presence in the next few matches will depend on how the injury progresses.

"The player suffered the injury during the training session at the BayArena prior to the Champions League match with Bayer Leverkusen."

Neymar is top scorer in La Liga with 14 goals.
