Lionel Messi has paid tribute to former Barcelona teammate Thierry Henry following the Frenchman's retirement.
The legendary striker hung up his boots at the age of 37 on Tuesday, prompting a flood of tributes from the football world.
Messi, who played alongside Henry for three years, winning two La Liga crowns and a Champions League title together, took to Facebook to pay homage.
"My friend, Thierry Henry, I will never forget the amazing moments we have experienced together. I was really lucky to play with you and I wish you all the best. A hug."
Henry joined the Catalan giants in 2007 after scoring 226 times to become Arsenal's all-time record goalscorer, before leaving for New York Red Bulls in 2010, where he finished his career.
He will now embark on a media spell after Sky Sports signed him up as a pundit.
