Luis Suarez: 'MSN is not untouchable'

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez insists that his team's front three are "not machines" after a drop in form over the last few weeks.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has insisted that the 'MSN' are 'not untouchable' and has leapt to the defence of under-fire Neymar.

Suarez, Neymar and Lionel Messi have all faced criticism over the last month for a drop in form, but all three returned to the scoresheet in Wednesday's 8-0 victory at Deportivo La Coruna.

Suarez, who has netted 49 times in 48 appearances this season, has also claimed that Barcelona's front three are "not machines" despite their incredible goal tallies since the start of the 2014-15 campaign.

"I don't think [the MSN] is untouchable for the coach," AS quotes Suarez as saying at the launch of his new book. "It's true we help the team a lot, we play almost all the games but we're not more than anyone else. When things go wrong we all assume responsibility. In recent days the blame has been placed on someone and that's not the case.

"We're not machines, there are ups and downs for all players and the responsibility on Neymar for the past few days has hurt. When we won, no one said it was only down to him. It's a matter of the team. He has feelings and it wasn't fair he was liable, but in his favour it has to be said he always fights and never gives up."

Barcelona will return to league action at home to Sporting Gijon on Saturday night.
