How Barcelona could line up against Mallorca

Sports Mole looks at how Barcelona could line up in Saturday night's La Liga clash with Mallorca.

Barcelona will continue their 2019-20 La Liga campaign with a home game against Mallorca on Saturday night.

The Catalan giants have won their last three in the league to move to the summit, although they are level on points with second-placed Real Madrid ahead of this weekend's fixtures.

Lionel Messi scored a late winner as Ernesto Valverde's side overcame Atletico Madrid last time out, and the Catalan giants will fancy their chances of picking up a sixth straight win in all competitions this weekend.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the Spanish champions could line up at Camp Nou.

POSS BAR XI vs. MAL

Out: Ousmane Dembele (hamstring), Jordi Alba (hamstring), Nelson Semedo (calf)
Doubtful: Gerard Pique (knee)

Barca will again be without the services of injured trio Ousmane Dembele, Jordi Alba and Nelson Semedo, although Gerard Pique is expected to overcome a knock to start.

Pique had to be substituted in the latter stages of the clash with Atletico after picking up a blow to his knee in a challenge with Vitolo, but the centre-back should be available to start on Saturday.

Sergio Busquets is also back after missing out against Diego Simeone's side through suspension, and the Spaniard is expected to replace Ivan Rakitic in the middle of the park.

Ansu Fati is an option should Valverde wish to alter his front three, although it seems likely that Antoine Griezmann will again join Luis Suarez and Messi in the final third of the field.

The absences of Semedo and Alba also makes the full-back choices straightforward once again, meanwhile, with Sergi Roberto and Junior Firpo continuing in the side.
