Barcelona's Dani Alves: 'I'd like to play in England'

Barcelona defender Dani Alves says that he is keen to experience life playing in England before he calls time on his career.

Barcelona right-back Dani Alves has conceded that he would like to play in England before he hangs up his boots.

The 32-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last summer, but he eventually signed a contract extension at Camp Nou.

However, the Brazilian has insisted that a stint in English football is "pending".

"I've always said that playing in England is something I've got pending," Alves told The Guardian.

"I don't know when but I'd like to play there, to experience in person what I see from the sofa.

"The way the people live football. Wow, it's incredible. Full stadiums, living every moment."

Alves joined Barca from Sevilla in 2009 and has gone on to make almost 400 appearances for the Catalan outfit.
