Barcelona 'to use FIFA loophole in Neymar pursuit'

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to exploit a FIFA loophole in their efforts to secure a reunion with Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.

Barcelona are allegedly prepared to exploit a FIFA loophole in order to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar.

In 2017, the French outfit paid a world-record fee to secure a deal for the Brazil international, who has gone on to net 69 goals from 78 appearances in all competitions.

Despite the finances involved, speculation persists regarding a return to Camp Nou for the attacker, potentially during the next transfer window.

According to ESPN, the Catalan giants are exploring the possibility of taking advantage of what is described as a "little-known" clause in FIFA regulations.

The report claims that Barcelona are interested in using 'Article 17', which states that players can leave their contracts "without just cause" once the three-year protection period ends.

Neymar will reach that stage in his contract on August 3 this year.
