Barcelona could reportedly wait until next week before announcing the departure of Quique Setien, despite the club already deciding to sack the current head coach.
Setien's exit was expected to be confirmed in the immediate aftermath of Friday's shock 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Various reports in Spain have claimed that the Catalan giants have already decided that there will be a change of manager in the coming weeks, with the team also having relinquished control of the La Liga title.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barca could delay the announcement until after a board meeting has taken place at the start of next week.
The report claims that there is currently an internal debate over whether Mauricio Pochettino should be named as Setien's successor, with club president Josep Maria Bartomeu pushing for the Argentine to be appointed.
Setien only replaced Ernesto Valverde as Barca's head coach in January.
