Bayern Munich head coach Thomas Tuchel is reportedly interested in signing Barcelona winger Raphinha during the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich have reportedly identified Barcelona winger Raphinha as a priority transfer target.

On the final weekend of the season, Bayern overtook leaders Borussia Dortmund to claim yet another Bundesliga title, maintaining their dominance of German football.

However, since the appointment of Thomas Tuchel at the end of March, Bayern have been far from convincing, recording six wins and four defeats under their new head coach.

With Tuchel arriving at the Allianz Arena at the back end of the season, he will now be provided with the freedom to make changes to his first-team squad.

Reports have suggested that a central forward is at the top of Tuchel's priority list with Bayern not signing a direct alternative to Robert Lewandowski last summer.

Juventus frontman Dusan Vlahovic and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen have both been linked with Bayern, yet it appears that Tuchel could be considering a different option.

According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Tuchel may reignite the interest that he had in Raphinha during his time at Chelsea.

Raphinha, then at Leeds United, rejected the chance to move to Stamford Bridge in favour of penning fresh terms at Camp Nou, where he is established as a key player.

The Brazil international contributed 10 goals and 12 assists during his 50 appearances in 2022-23, often chipping in with important strikes in closely-fought contests.

While the expectation is that Raphinha will remain at the La Liga champions, the club are looking at ways to generate funds, both to boost their financial position and facilitate a reunion with Lionel Messi.

Although Ansu Fati and Ferran Torres - other players in the same position as Raphinha - have been linked with moves elsewhere, it is unclear whether they are prepared to leave the Catalan giants.

Bayern may allegedly attempt to boost their chances of acquiring Raphinha's services by offering versatile defender Benjamin Pavard in part-exchange.

The France international has just over a year left on his contract, with it being suggested that he would prefer to take on a new challenge in a different country.
