Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has acknowledged that Yannick Carrasco could join Barcelona this summer.
In two separate stints, the versatile wide player has proven to be an invaluable member of the first-team squad, making 187 starts and 76 substitute outings.
As many as 47 goals and 44 assists have been contributed during that time, but Carrasco currently has just one year left on his contract.
Earlier this year, it was widely reported that Atletico had reached an agreement with Barcelona where the Belgium international could move to Camp Nou ahead of 2023-24.
The Catalan giants allegedly have the option of signing Carrasco for a fee in the region of €19m, something which is not a certainty due to their financial issues.

However, Simeone has confirmed that such an option is in place between the two clubs, giving the green light for the 29-year-old to take the opportunity should he wish to do so.
Speaking to Cope, Simeone said: "Yannick Carrasco has the opportunity to join Barca, which is a great opportunity for him.
"I want the good players to stay but if they leave, I thank him for everything."
As well as it being unclear whether Carrasco would choose to move to the La Liga champions, Barcelona must first resolve how to balance their books.

Although Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets are leaving Camp Nou on free transfers, player sales are imperative if Xavi is to add to his squad over the coming months.
Several outlets in Spain have indicated that it is only a matter of time before Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves finalises a switch to Barcelona.
Another central forward is also expected to be signed by Xavi, while the contractual situation with regards to youngster Gavi requires resolving as a priority.
Ferran Torres is the most likely big-name to leave Barcelona, although they are said to remain open to cashing in on Ansu Fati if a realistic transfer becomes a possibility.
