Neymar agrees new five-year deal with Barcelona

Barcelona announce that Neymar will sign a new five-year deal on Friday.

Barcelona have announced that Neymar has agreed to sign a new five-year contract at Camp Nou.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Catalan giants from Santos in 2013, will put pen to paper on Friday.

There has been speculation over the Brazilian's future in recent transfer windows, with reports that Manchester United were once considering an audacious bid to sign the attacking player.

Last week it was claimed that French outfit Paris Saint-Germain were plotting an offer in excess of £200m for Neymar, but Barcelona have now dispelled any rumours about his future.

Neymar has become an integral part of Barcelona's team having scored 77 goals across La Liga and the Champions League since his arrival three years ago.

Since the 2014-15 campaign, Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi have scored a combined 276 goals in all competitions for the Spanish outfit.
