Keith Hill is looking for his Barnsley players to stand up and be counted after a slow start to the season.

Barnsley manager Keith Hill has backed his side to bounce back from Saturday's home defeat by Southampton.

Hill's men have yet to find the net in two Championship matches this season but the boss believes that performances like the one against the Saints will soon become a thing of the past.

"[The Southampton game] wasn't a performance that reflected me or what I expect from the players. The players know full well what I expect from them," Hill told the club's official website.

"I'm not looking for one individual to be successful this season - in the same way that Jason Shackell was successful in manufacturing his move to Derby County - I'm looking for everybody to be successful so that we have big clubs trying to pinch our players as a result of us all being successful.

"As soon as it starts clicking into place in league football then it will be a lot easier."

Barnsley entertain Tony Mowbray's Middlesbrough this evening.
