Preview: Barnsley vs. Yeovil Town

Sports Mole previews Saturday's crucial Championship relegation battle between Barnsley and Yeovil.

The Oakwell Stadium will play host to a huge Championship relegation six-pointer on Saturday as bottom-placed Barnsley take on Yeovil Town.

Managerless Barnsley currently prop up the table but could move off the bottom and to within one point of safety with a win at the weekend.

The hosts have struggled of late, winning just one of their last seven matches, although they were unlucky to come away with nothing from last weekend's match against leaders Burnley.

The Tykes have the joint-worst defensive record in the division and are one of just four teams to have averaged under one goal scored per game this season, leaving interim manager Micky Mellon with an uphill battle to turn their season around.

Mellon is likely to be without David Fox and Chris O'Grady for the match, while Marcus Tudgay is again expected to lead the line.

Yeovil, meanwhile, have experienced an upturn in fortunes in recent weeks, sparked by their shock 3-0 victory away to Watford at the end of last month.

The Glovers have won two and drawn one of their last three matches and could move out of the bottom three if they extended their unbeaten run to four games with a win.

Loanee trio Adam Morgan, Ishmael Miller and John Lundstram are all expected to start again for the visitors, who could name an unchanged lineup for the match.
