Barnsley sign Simeon Jackson on short-term deal

Barnsley bring in former Norwich and Coventry striker Simeon Jackson on a deal until the start of 2016.

Barnsley have confirmed the signing of striker Simeon Jackson on a deal until January 3.

The 28-year-old had been without a club following his departure from Coventry City at the end of last season.

Former Norwich City forward Jackson has scored six goals in 44 appearances for Canada.

"He's somebody who's got that experience of promotions and scoring goals at this level," Tykes boss Lee Johnson told the club's official website.

Barnsley are back in League One action on Saturday when they host Shrewsbury Town.
