Javier Hernandez "delighted" with Bayer Leverkusen's late goals against Roma

Bayer Leverkusen striker Javier Hernandez expresses his delight after the German club came back late on to earn a point against visitors Roma in the Champions League.

Bayer Leverkusen forward Javier Hernandez has revealed his delight after helping the club come back to draw 4-4 with Roma in the Champions League.

The former Manchester United frontman had originally given the Germans a two-goal lead in the contest, but Leverkusen later surrendered their advantage and then had to battle back from 4-2 down to earn a point at home.

"It was really intense but we're happy," said Hernandez in an interview with the official Bundesliga website.

"I'm delighted we managed to score those two late goals. I suppose plenty of people might have thought that the game was over but we didn't stop fighting and thanks be to God that we fought back late on."

Leverkusen currently find themselves in sixth place in the Bundesliga standings.
