Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Borussia Dortmund vs. Freiburg

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Borussia Dortmund vs. Freiburg.

B. Leverkusen vs. Heidenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Xabi Alonso will hope that his Bayer Leverkusen side can return to winning ways when they welcome strugglers Heidenheim to BayArena in their 11th Bundesliga game of the campaign on Saturday.

The champions are in fourth place with 17 points and were held to a 1-1 stalemate against 18th and last-placed VfL Bochum last time out in the league on November 9, while the visitors are 14th with 10 points and were beaten 3-1 by Wolfsburg on November 10.

We say: Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 Heidenheim

Leverkusen have struggled for goals of late and it is difficult to see them immediately returning to goalscoring form, but it is equally difficult to overlook their impressive home record.

Given the hosts' resilience at BayArena, it would not be surprising if Heidenheim eventually succumbed to defeat against Alonso's side.

Stuttgart vs. VfL Bochum (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Stuttgart sit a disappointing 11th in the Bundesliga table before welcoming cellar-dwelling VfL Bochum in Saturday's gameweek 11 action at the MHPArena.

Sebastian Hoeness's men suffered a third top-flight loss of 2024-25 before the hiatus, and they face a tricky encounter against a side managed by the freshly appointed Dieter Hecking.

We say: Stuttgart 2-1 VfL Bochum

Having lost consecutive home games in all competitions, we back Stuttgart to return to winning ways when they welcome a Bochum side they historically fare well against, thus putting aside their underwhelming start by returning into the league's top half.

Dortmund vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Borussia Dortmund have already fallen behind in the title race and will at least aim to stay within touching distance of the Champions League qualifications spots when they welcome Freiburg to Signal Iduna Park on Saturday in their 11th Bundesliga game of the campaign.

Dortmund are seventh with 16 points and lost 3-1 against Mainz 05 on November 9, while the visiting team are fifth with 17 points and drew 0-0 with Union Berlin on November 8.

We say: Borussia Dortmund 3-2 Freiburg

Without Emre Can in midfield offering protection for the hosts' backline, Freiburg could create a number of chances on Saturday.

Having said that, Dortmund's injury crisis has lessened and their record at Signal Iduna Park is outstanding, and Sahin's side could be boosted to victory by the home crowd.

Hoffenheim vs. RB Leipzig (Saturday, 2.30pm)

RB Leipzig will aim to prevent the five-point gap to Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich from extending by claiming all three points at Hoffenheim's PreZero Arena on Saturday.

The hosts drew 0-0 with Augsburg on November 10 and are fourth last in 15th place with nine points from 10 games, while their opponents are second with 21 points after 10 matchweeks and drew 0-0 with Borussia Monchengladbach on November 9.

We say: Hoffenheim 1-1 RB Leipzig

Hoffenheim could start well against RB Leipzig on Saturday and catch their opponents off guard given their new managerial appointment may provide Rose with new and unexpected tactical challenges.

However, Leipzig have proven to be resilient on the road, and they could leave PreZero Arena with at least a point.

Wolfsburg vs. Union Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Six places separate Wolfsburg and Union Berlin in the Bundesliga table ahead of Saturday's gameweek 11 match at the Volkswagen Arena.

The capital club could move into the Champions League positions if they win and results elsewhere go in their favour, even if a home team unbeaten in three could thwart those plans.

We say: Wolfsburg 1-1 Union Berlin

Despite Wolfsburg historically flourishing in this fixture, their winless run at the Volkswagen Arena and Union conceding a mere five goals on the road (three against Bayern) point to a possible low-scoring affair on Saturday.

Thus, we expect the spoils to be shared in this gameweek 11 encounter.

Frankfurt vs. Werder Bremen (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Champions League hopefuls Eintracht Frankfurt will hope to maintain their five-point advantage over Werder Bremen after hosting them on Saturday at Deutsche Bank Park in their 11th Bundesliga outing of the season.

The Eagles are currently in third place with 20 points and narrowly defeated Stuttgart 3-2 on November 10, whereas the visitors beat Holstein Kiel 2-1 on November 9 and are in eighth place with 15 points.

We say: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Werder Bremen

Eintracht Frankfurt's strong home form and Marmoush's exploits in the final third should make them favourites on Saturday.

However, Werder Bremen have been difficult to beat on the road this season, and it would not be surprising if they managed to create opportunities of their own at Deutsche Bank Park.
