Thomas Muller fired the Bavarian giants ahead on 25 minutes, drifting into the area to head home a Rafinha cross.

Pep Guardiola's men doubled their advantage 10 minutes later through Thiago Alcantara.

The former Barcelona midfielder latched onto Bastian Schweinsteiger's clipped ball to fire a left-footed shot beyond goalkeeper Ron-Robert Zieler.
