Bayern Munich's sporting director Christian Nerlinger has admitted that much will be expected of new signing Mario Mandzukic next season.
The Croatian international will link up with the Bavarian club this summer after Wolfsburg agreed to let him leave.
Despite admitting that there will be great anticipation over the 26-year-old during the coming months, Nerlinger believes that his performances for Croatia at Euro 2012 have shown that he will be a good addition to the Bayern squad.
"It's not about names and transfer fees, only performance and quality," he told Bild. "I am convinced that Mario is raring to go and totally focused on his new challenge at Bayern.
"His qualities were clear at the European Championships and they will be put to the test in the Bundesliga. We expect a lot from him."
The centre-forward scored 12 league goals last season.
