Patrick Herrmann: 'We must prepare for Bayern Munich pressure'

Borussia Monchengladbach's Patrick Herrmann admits that his side will have to soak up pressure on Friday night against Bayern Munich.

Borussia Monchengladbach winger Patrick Herrmann has admitted that his side might have to alter their tactics slightly on Friday night to deal with the likely pressure from Bayern Munich.

Herrmann, whose Gladbach side are currently third in the Bundesliga, said that they are used to dominating possession at home, but will have to be prepared to have less of the ball when Bayern come to town.

"It's virtually impossible to implement that [possession] tactic against the best team in the world," Bundesliga.com quotes Herrmann as saying. "Bayern play such a high pressing game and dominate possession and they understand how much pressure that puts you under.

"We know we'll have to defend more than against other teams, but we won't sit back and hide. We'll do everything to play with them, keep hold of the ball and create chances."

Gladbach beat Bayern two years ago at home, which was also the start of the second half of the season.
