Nicolas Hofler "very happy" with late equaliser

Nicolas Hofler is pleased that training paid off with his goal against Bayern Munich.

Freiburg winger Nicolas Hofler has admitted that he was "very happy" to score his side's let equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

Hofler also said that the type of goal he scored - a back-post volley from a cross - is the sort that they practice regularly in training.

"I am very happy I was standing in front of goal and was able to put the ball in the net," Bundesliga.com quotes Hofler as saying.

"I saw that Freis had the ball, then I ran into the box and scored - that's what we do almost every day in training."

Freiburg travel to Augsburg after the international break.
