Germany coach Joachim Low has insisted that right-back Philipp Lahm is the most versatile player in the Bundesliga.
Lahm has been operating in the anchor role in midfield for Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich this season, and Low believes that not many players have such flexibility.
"I'm planning for Philipp to slot in at right-back," Bundesliga.com quotes Low as saying. "He's still arguably the best full-back in world football.
"Philipp is potentially the only player in Germany who could play in absolutely every position.
"He has no problem whatsoever adapting to a change from right to left. You put Philipp in a position and he'll fulfil the required duties."
Germany captain Lahm has played 101 times for his country.
