Bayern Munich's Mario Gomez agrees Fiorentina move

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge reveals that the club has agreed the sale of Mario Gomez to Fiorentina.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has revealed that the club has agreed the sale of Mario Gomez to Fiorentina.

The 27-year-old German striker is reportedly close to penning a four-year contract with the Serie A side.

Rummenigge told the club's official website: "Mario Gomez wanted to leave Bayern Munich and go to Florence. We have now complied with his wishes."

Gomez, who scored 13 goals last season, joined Bayern from Stuttgart in 2009.
