Shakhtar Donetsk confirm Douglas Costa move to Bayern Munich

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu says that Brazil international Douglas Costa will move to Bayern Munich, as he is unable to develop any further with the Ukrainians.

Shakhtar Donetsk manager Mircea Lucescu has revealed that midfielder Douglas Costa will join Bayern Munich this summer.

The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from the Ukrainians, after spending the past six years at the club.

"There have been discussions since the winter," Lucescu told Dolce Sport. "Douglas couldn't develop any more with us.

"I see him taking on [Arjen] Robben's role, he has a similar profile. He's only 24 years old, so he could reach his level in the coming years."

Costa is currently in Chile representing Brazil at this year's Copa America.
