Preview: Birmingham City vs. Blackburn Rovers

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship encounter between Birmingham City and Blackburn Rovers.

Birmingham City host Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, with the visitors needing a point to guarantee Championship safety for next season.

Birmingham's faint hopes of finishing in the top six were ended last week, when Lee Clark's men lost 3-1 at Ipswich Town.

Blackburn's 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace last weekend leaves them 17th in the Championship table, level on points with Barnsley, who occupy the final relegation spot. However, Rovers have a goal difference which is seven better than Barnsley's.

Birmingham have no fresh injury concerns ahead of the match and could field the same side which started the defeat at Portman Road.

Blackburn caretaker boss Gary Bowyer could be without Colin Kazim-Richards, who has suffered a dislocated shoulder, while David Dunn and Markus Olsson could return after missing the draw with Palace.
