Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jason Lowe is hopeful of representing Team GB at this summer's Olympic Games in London.
The 20-year-old was told in December that he was on manager Stuart Pearce's provisional shortlist of 184 players.
Although only 23 British footballers - three of whom may be over the age of 23 - will be ultimately selected, Lowe has admitted that the Olympics remain on his radar.
He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "The Olympics is at the back of my mind a little bit.
"I was included in the first list but it's a long squad and I think it gets narrowed down some time in March and finalised in June.
"It would be nice to get the nod in there but I'm not thinking about that at the moment."
Lowe has made 26 appearances in all competitions for Rovers this season.
