Blackburn Rovers' global advisor Shebby Singh has warned manager Steve Kean that he will be sacked if he loses three games in a row.

Singh was appointed in his role in the summer and is in charge of overseeing the daily development of the Championship side.

Blackburn suffered relegation from the Premier League last season and are looking to bounce back into the English top flight immediately.

Speaking at an open forum with the club's supporters organised by the Blackburn Rovers Action Group, Singh insisted that the club cannot afford to fail this term.

"I am here to be successful and I know what it needs to get out of the Championship and so far nobody has disagreed with me at the club," said the 51-year-old.

"The owners have said to me do what you are doing, continue doing it - the manager has not said to me we should have signed so-and-so, or we don't need so-and-so.

"For me, it is all about results. For me, after three games if we have dropped nine points, we would quite literally only have a 50% chance of getting promoted, so everyone has to start from day one."

Asked if he could sack Kean, Singh replied: "If we lost three games on the trot, definitely. Yes."

Blackburn will begin their Championship campaign with an away game against Ipswich Town on Saturday, August 18.
