Preview: Blackburn Rovers vs. Birmingham City

Sports Mole previews the match at Ewood Park between Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City.

Richard Beale and Malcolm Crosby will oversee the managerial duties at Birmingham City for their Championship fixture at Blackburn Rovers.

Lee Clark was sacked on Monday afternoon after failing to take the Blues away from the drop zone, with only their form on the road ensuring that they don't join Blackpool at the bottom of the standings.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph is absent after being sent off in the 1-0 defeat to Bolton Wanderers, while David Davis could also miss the game through injury.

Blackburn secured a last-gasp 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town at the weekend, but Rovers have now gone four games without a win in the league.

Three points on Tuesday night would take Gary Bowyer's team to the brink of a top-six place, but their form will need to improve at Ewood Park with just two wins being recorded in six attempts.

Bowyer could replace the suspended Matthew Kilgallon with Alex Baptiste, while striker Jordan Rhodes is expected to keep his place despite failing to net in four matches.
