Blackburn Rovers captain Christopher Samba may finally get his desired move away from Ewood Park as reports claim that Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala are close to signing the defender.
The Frenchman has been open about his intentions to leave the struggling Premier League side. However, the 27-year-old was forced to remain in Lancashire after a January transfer failed to materialise.
While the European winter window has closed, the Russian market is in full flow until midnight and Blackburn are believed to have agreed a £7.5m fee for the centre-back, according to Sky Sports News.
With the majority of the paperwork reportedly taken care of, it is understood that Samba needs to undergo a medical in order to complete the move.
