Neitehr side can break the deadlock in the first half of the match between Blackpool and Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon.

Neither side could break the deadlock in the first half of the Championship match between Blackpool and Brighton & Hove Albion this afternoon.

The hosts almost took the lead after just five minutes when Tom Ince cut inside before firing a shot that Thomas Kuszczak couldn't hold, but Matt Phillips could only blaze over from the rebound.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher squandered another great chance for Blackpool soon after, heading wide while unmarked in the box.

Alex Baptiste was inches away from giving the hosts the elusive lead, but he just couldn't get on the end of Kirk Broadfoot's cross as his side had to settle for going into the break all square.
