Report: Barry Ferguson to be appointed as Blackpool boss

A report says that Barry Ferguson will replace Paul Ince as Blackpool's manager.

Blackpool are preparing to sack Paul Ince and name Barry Ferguson as player-manager, according to a report.

The Tangerines have slipped down to 14th in the Championship in recent weeks and lost 2-0 to bottom club Barnsley on Saturday.

It was reported on Sunday that Ince was planning to hold talks with chairman Karl Oyston in the coming days.

However, The Mirror now claims that club captain Ferguson is being lined up as a replacement.

Ince has been with the club since February 2013.
