Blackpool have signed Blyth Spartans winger Jarrett Rivers for an undisclosed fee in their first piece of business since being relegated to League One.
The 21-year-old shot to fame earlier this year when he scored a late winner to knock Hartlepool United out of the FA Cup at the second-round stage.
Rivers had a trial at Oldham Athletic in January, although a move failed to materialise during the winter transfer window.
However, Blackpool have taken a chance on the youngster by handing him a one-year deal, with an option of a further year should both parties agree.
