Goals from Liam Feeney and Zach Clough have given Bolton Wanderers a 2-0 half-time lead over Wolverhampton Wanderers this afternoon.
The hosts started the match as the stronger of the two sides, missing a number of early chances. First Clough was unable to properly connect to a Wellington Silva free kick, before Feeney's close-range effort was parried by Wolves keeper Emiliano Martinez. Feeney pounced on the rebound, but his second shot hit the side-netting.
Bolton continued to dominate the game, and broke the deadlock on 17 minutes through Feeney, who finished with a neat volley after picking up a flick-on by Gary Madine in the box.
The visitors responded well, as Ethan Ebanks-Landell produced a good header from a corner, only for Bolton keeper Ben Amos to deny the Wolves defender.
Benik Afobe came close to finding an equaliser for Wolves soon after, but the England Under-21 international fired wide after Matt Doherty found the striker with a header.
Wolves missed two chances to score before half time, first through Jed Wallace who headed wide from a left-wing cross, before James Henry hit a half-volley just over the bar.
The hosts made Wolves pay for their profligacy in added time, as Silva won a penalty after a foul by Ebanks-Lendall. Striker Clough took the spot kick and finished past Martinez in the visitors' goal.
