Fabrice Muamba could be back in training again within a month, according to reports.
The Bolton midfielder's heart stopped for 78 minutes after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during the abandoned FA Cup match against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane last month.
The 24-year-old has made remarkable progress in his recovery but remains in hospital, where he has been walking, and it had been suggested that he may return home next week.
Peter Weissberg, the Medical Director of the British Heart Foundation, had advised Muamba to retire from football, however The Mirror reports that specialists may allow him to return to training before the end of the season.
