Francis Gillot: Bordeaux "must win" Coupe de France

Francis Gillot says that his Bordeaux side must live up to their label as favourites and beat Evian TG.

Bordeaux coach Francis Gillot has admitted that his side have to win Friday night's Coupe de France final against Evian TG.

Gillot said that his side are the favourites and only a win in the final would make up for an otherwise disappointing season.

"I don't think the weight of pressure is overly concerning the players," Ligue1.com quotes Gillot as saying. "We have an experienced team, some of whom have already been to the Stade de France. It is not a problem for us.

"We just need to make sure that we get the job done on the field. If we play to the best of our ability, I think it can be enough. We absolutely must win this final.

"On paper we are the favourites, we can't deny that. We have a bigger budget that Evian. In one game, anything can happen, but logic suggests that we should win. If Evian win, it will be because we didn't do our job."

The game kicks off at 8pm.
