Mahamane Traore went close for Nice early on as he headed over the crossbar following a cross from Eric Bautheac.

The hosts should have taken the lead after 20 minutes, but Jussie somehow managed to pop the ball over the bar with his right foot, having been found only yards out from goal by Nicolas Maurice-Belay.

Maurice-Belay then had a shot saved at the bottom corner, before Diego Rolan also saw his header tipped away by Remy Riou, leaving the contest level at half time.

Hoarau should have given his side the lead in the 58th minute, but he couldn't turn the ball in from close range after collecting Maurice-Belay's cross.

The hosts finally went 1-0 up five minutes later as Jussie converted from the spot, after Andre Biyogo Poko had been fouled by Nampalys Mendy.

However, Nice found their way back to level terms through Alexy Bosetti, who converted from inside the six-yard box with just over 20 minutes to play.
