Reims come from behind to undo Bordeaux

Reims come from behind to secure a 2-1 victory away at Bordeaux in their opening Ligue 1 clash of the season at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.

Bordeaux have succumbed to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Reims in their opening Ligue 1 clash of the season at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.

The hosts opened the scoring through Wahbi Khazri, who made the most of a Kossi Agassa mishap to punt the ball into an open net.

Reims persevered, however, and were duly rewarded in the 80th minute when Grejohn Kyei's dangerous cross was palmed away by Cedric Carrasso, the ball falling to Nicolas De Preville who fired home.

Just when it looked like the game would end with honours even, Reims snatched victory two minutes from time through Theoson Siebatcheu, who profited from Carrasso's hesitation to latch on to the ball and slot into the net.
