Lucien Favre wants Borussia Monchengladbach to continue home form

Lucien Favre hopes that Borussia Monchengladbach can make it eight home wins from eight on Saturday.

Borussia Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre has urged his side to maintain their 100% home start to the Bundesliga season in Saturday's clash with Schalke 04.

Gladbach have won their first seven games and although Favre is delighted with how his side has played, he has admitted that the run cannot last for the whole season.

"It's possible that there has been a record like it, but I can't say when or who it was," Favre told Bundesliga.com. "We're not going to win every single game.

"Schalke are Schalke and they will always be Schalke. It's not a coincidence that they're in the Champions League every single year. They can play at a fast pace and have several players who can make the difference."

The game kicks off at 2.30pm on Saturday.
