Sunday's Bundesliga predictions including Monchengladbach vs. Union Berlin

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Union Berlin.

Two points and two places separate Borussia Monchengladbach and Union Berlin in the Bundesliga table heading into Sunday's gameweek 31 fixture at Borussia-Park.

Neither side is firing on all cylinders, with Gladbach and Union winning one of their recent five league fixtures, as relegation remains a possibility for both.

We say: Borussia Monchengladbach 1-1 Union Berlin

Even though Union have not scored in three consecutive away games, the capital club's impressive record against Gladbach points to that sequence without a road goal ending on Sunday.

However, the hosts should back themselves to end a five-match losing run against this weekend's opponents (seven-game streak without a win), with both out-of-form sides possibly sharing the spoils at Borussia-Park.

Mainz vs. FC Koln (Sunday, 4.30pm)

Mainz 05 taking on FC Koln on Sunday is an undoubted Bundesliga relegation six-pointer at Mewa Arena.

The gameweek 31 encounter is expected to go ahead, despite the discovery of an unexploded World War II bomb around the stadium, and the visitors are desperate for maximum points to suck the 05ers back into the mire at the bottom and boost their survival prospects.

We say: Mainz 05 2-1 FC Koln

Despite Koln's tendency to nick points on the road, Sunday's game should favour the hosts. Mainz losing only two of their last 11 home games against the Billy Goats (four wins), securing 13 points from 15 under Henriksen and conceding twice in their last five Bundesliga games, with Koln letting in 11 in the same period, all point to a home victory this weekend.

Darmstadt vs. Heidenheim (Sunday, 6.30pm)

SV Darmstadt 98's relegation from the Bundesliga could be confirmed this Sunday when they take on Heidenheim at Merck-Stadion am Bollenfalltor in the final match of gameweek 31.

The hosts are at the bottom of the league standings, trailing 10 points behind 16th-placed Bochum, while the visitors are comfortably sat in mid-table with a 12-point cushion above the drop.

We say: SV Darmstadt 98 2-2 Heidenheim

Darmstadt kept their Bundesliga survival hopes alive by bringing an end to their 22-match winless streak against Koln last week, but we feel their return to the second tier will be confirmed this Sunday. Heidenheim have proven themselves to be a difficult team to beat in the second half of this season, and we fancy they will come away with something from this one.
