Bournemouth's Eddie Howe: 'No hangover from Bolton win, players are focused'

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that his players resumed focus instantly following Premier League promotion celebrations.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has insisted that his players are fully focused for Saturday's Championship finale against Charlton Athletic, despite all but securing Premier League promotion by beating Bolton Wanderers on Monday.

The Cherries sealed a 3-0 win at the Goldsands Stadium, meaning that their place in the top flight will be confirmed as long as Middlesbrough don't pull off an almost impossible 19-goal triumph this weekend.

Despite the players celebrating their feat after Monday's game, Howe has insisted that they were complete professionals when they returned to training on Wednesday.

"I think sometimes when you share successes together, you actually want to be together," Howe told reporters during his pre-match press conference. "The standard in training was terrific. There was no hangover to speak of, there was no shifting of attitudes, it was very much back to work and that's been the hallmark of this team."

The Cherries have risen from League One to the Premier League within three years.
