Eddie Howe "very proud" of Bournemouth players

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe says that he is "very proud" of his players following their 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Eddie Howe has said that he is "very proud" of his Bournemouth side after they scored a couple of late goals to beat Brighton & Hove Albion in the Championship this evening.

Yann Kermorgant and Callum Wilson found the target after Brighton had dominated for much of the match, moving the Cherries four points clear at the top of the table.

The manager told BBC Radio Solent: "Brighton are a tough nut to crack and they still play good football and we were under no illusions how difficult tonight was going to be and that is why we are delighted with the three points.

"I'm very proud of the players. The goalscorers will obviously get the plaudits but it's very much a team achievement. I'm very proud of the team for that achievement.

"What we have done is reaffirmed to ourselves that we can come to tough grounds and find a way to win when the pressure is really on with players who can step up."

Bournemouth are now unbeaten in their last nine outings in the league.
