Jack Wilshere makes Bournemouth debut in friendly with AC Milan

Jack Wilshere makes his Bournemouth debut in this afternoon's friendly with AC Milan following his loan switch from Arsenal.

Jack Wilshere made his Bournemouth debut this afternoon in the team's friendly with AC Milan at the Vitality Stadium.

The 24-year-old was named in Eddie Howe's starting lineup, three days after he joined the club from Arsenal on a season-long loan.

Wilshere faced a struggle to secure a regular spot in Arsene Wenger's first XI at the Emirates this season, so has moved down to the South Coast to get minutes under his belt following a string of injury problems.

The midfielder tasted his first bit of action in a Bournemouth shirt today as the rain poured down during Warren Cummings's testimonial.

Wilshere was left out of Sam Allardyce's England squad for Sunday's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Slovakia.
