Nottingham Forest are sweating over the fitness of winger Callum Hudson-Odoi ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Hudson-Odoi will be assessed ahead of kickoff after sustaining a groin strain in last weekend's 3-2 win over Southampton; long-term absentee Ibrahima Sangare (hamstring) is Forest's only other injury concern.
The potential absence of Hudson-Odoi could either force Nuno to slightly tweak his formation or select one of Morgan Gibbs-White or Elliot Anderson on the left flank. Anthony Elanga could also move over to the left, but he is likely to stay put on the right wing.
Chris Wood extended his Forest contract until 2027 on Thursday and Forest's top scorer with 14 Premier League goals to his name - including one in a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth on the opening day of the season - is set to continue up front.
If Anderson is not deployed on the left, he could link arms with Nicolas Dominguez in centre-midfield, although Ryan Yates will be pushing to replace the latter after beginning as a substitute last time out.
Nuno is not expected to shake up his sturdy backline, with Murillo - another who has signed a new contract this week - to be joined in the back four by Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic and Nico Williams, protecting Matz Sels between the sticks.
Nottingham Forest possible starting lineup: Sels; Aina, Milenkovic, Murillo, Williams; Yates, Anderson; Elanga, Gibbs-White, Hudson-Odoi; Wood
