Bournemouth have reportedly seen a £22.2m bid for Jefferson Lerma turned down by Levante.
Lerma, who impressed for Colombia at the 2018 World Cup, joined Levante from Atletico Huila in 2015, and is believed to have attracted a host of attention with his performances last term.
According to EFE, Bournemouth launched a bid of a little over £22m for the 23-year-old, but Levante rejected the offer due to the fact that the midfielder has a £53m release clause.
The same report claims that Lerma could now hand in a transfer request at his La Liga club in an attempt to force a move to the Premier League before the transfer window closes on August 9.
Lerma, who is also capable of playing at right-back, made 28 appearances for Levante during the 2017-18 season.
