Eddie Howe eyes Bournemouth additions

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe reveals that he is hoping to bolster his squad during this month's transfer window.

Eddie Howe has admitted that he would "love to make another one or two" additions to his Bournemouth squad before the deadline passes early next month.

The Championship leaders are believed to have failed with at least one bid for Birmingham City striker Demarai Gray, while Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman is also a reported target.

Howe has refused to confirm his interest in either of those players, but he did concede that he is the market for new recruits.

"We've always tried to improve the squad in every window and my methods will be the same this time. We made some key signings last January and I'd love to make another one or two to improve the squad," he told Sky Sports News.

"We are in a difficult position to recruit this time though as the team is doing so well. If we do carry on with the squad we have, I'd be no means disappointed. You look at our strength in depth and we're in a good position.

"I haven't publicly said whether we have bid for him or not. We'll do our business behind closed doors."

Howe's men will take on Leeds United at Elland Road in the Championship tomorrow.
