Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur prefer Demarai Gray to Saido Berahino?

Liverpool and Tottenham are both reportedly switching their attention to signing Birmingham winger Demarai Gray ahead of West Bromwich Albin's Saido Berahino.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur have both reportedly turned their attention to signing Demarai Gray amid concerns over Saido Berahino's form and off-field behaviour.

The two clubs had both been linked with moves for the West Bromwich Albion striker in the current transfer window, but the England international has scored just twice in the Premier League since October, and was recently charged with drink driving.

According to The Mirror, 18-year-old Birmingham City winger Gray is seen as better value and lower risk than Berahino, who is thought to be valued at around £20m by the Baggies.

Gray has been a first-team regular for Birmingham this season, and recently scored a hat-trick in their Championship win over Reading.
