Matt Tubbs does not expect Bournemouth return

Striker Matt Tubbs does not expect Bournemouth to recall him from his loan spell at AFC Wimbledon.

AFC Wimbledon loanee Matt Tubbs has revealed that he does not anticipate that Bournemouth will recall his services in January.

Under the terms of the season-long loan deal that took the striker to the League Two outfit during the summer, Bournemouth inserted a clause which granted them permission to cut short his time at Kingsmeadow at the turn of the year.

However, despite the fact that he has scored nine goals this season, Tubbs believes that he is not a part of Cherries manager Eddie Howe's plans.

"I didn't feature at all there last season and I'm obviously not in [Howe's] plans this season. We'll have to wait and see what happens," he told Get West London Sport.

"It's not to for me to say yes or no, all I can keep doing is trying to do well for this club and push us towards the top of the table. I'm enjoying my football at the minute and anyone who's enjoying their football is comfortable where they are."

Tubbs, 30, joined Bournemouth in 2012, but he has had three separate loan stints away from the Championship outfit.
