Mark Warburton: 'No more loan signings for Brentford'

Brentford manager Mark Warburton rules out making any more loan signings this season.

Mark Warburton has ruled out making any more loan signings before the window closes on March 26.

Brentford currently have five players on loan and have been linked with a move for an established Premier League striker, but Warburton believes that any more signings could have a negative effect on the squad.

"We look at our squad. We've got Alan Judge to come back. Lewis Macleod is very close. Sam Saunders and Nico Yennaris are on tight recalls," Warburton told Get West London.

"I see some of the negative comments but if were going to bring in a striker, why'd he come off the Premier League bench to sit on ours.

"We'd upset Andre Gray and Everton would recall Long. It'll cost us a fortune to get a Premier League player to come in. We've got a pay structure and it's the right thing to do. There's a reason why certain things are done or not done."

Loanees Liam Moore and Alex Pritchard featured in Brentford's 1-1 draw with Ipswich Town on Saturday, while Jon Toral and Chris Long remained on the bench.
