Brighton & Hove Albion manager Sami Hyypia has said that "patience" was the key ingredient to his side's 2-0 League Cup victory over Cheltenham Town tonight.
The game at the Amex Stadium was goalless with 11 minutes remaining, until Lewis Dunk and Craig Mackail-Smith pounced to secure the first-round win.
"I thought before the game we needed to be patient," Hyypia is quoted as saying by The Argus. "We needed to keep the ball moving for the whole 90 minutes and keep concentrating.
"Patience is what we needed because it's never easy to play these games. An early goal would have eased things a little. When it's 0-0 you have to be patient and make sure you don't concede anything."
Brighton are back in action on Saturday when they travel to face Birmingham City.
