Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Blackpool

Sports Mole looks ahead to Brighton & Hove Albion's match against bottom club Blackpool in the Championship.

Blackpool will continue their search for their first win in the Championship this season when they travel to Brighton & Hove Albion this weekend.

A second-half penalty gave Watford a 1-0 win at Bloomfield Road earlier this week, leaving Blackpool at the bottom of the table, with just one point from their seven matches so far.

Jose Cubero is yet to make his debut for the Tangerines because of work permit issues and a knee injury, but both issues could be resolved by the weekend.

Andrea Orlandi may miss the chance to play against his former club as he has been struggling with a foot injury, which forced him to miss Tuesday's defeat to Watford.

Meanwhile, Brighton have been in mixed form in recent weeks, with two wins, two defeats and a draw in their last five matches.

Sami Hyypia's side slipped to back-to-back defeats when they lost 2-0 to Ipswich Town earlier this week, leaving Brighton without a win in their last three matches.

The hosts may be boosted by the return of Paddy McCourt, who came through 90 minutes with the club's Under-21s earlier this week after picking up an ankle injury while on trial with the club in pre-season.

When the teams met in Brighton last season, the two sides shared a 1-1 draw, with Blackpool's last win against the Seagulls coming in March 2012.
