Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Millwall

Sports Mole previews the clash between Championship strugglers Brighton and Millwall as under-pressure Sami Hyypia welcomes Ian Holloway to the Amex Stadium.

Two Championship strugglers in desperate need of a win meet at the Amex Stadium on Friday evening as Brighton & Hove Albion host Millwall.

Sami Hyypia's side have won just one of their last 16 league games and dropped into the relegation zone following the 3-0 defeat to Derby County last weekend.

Reports are claiming that the former Liverpool defender could be sacked if Albion do not beat the Lions, and Hyypia has conceded that it is an important match for both him personally and the club.

There does not seem to be as much pressure on Ian Holloway's job, but the outspoken manager was livid with Millwall's display in their 5-1 loss to Middlesbrough, in which they were four down by the break.

Holloway described that home thrashing, which left them 20th in the table - two points and two places above the Seagulls - as one of his worst days in football and will be demanding a response from his side.

Millwall are still without Carlos Edwards and Lee Martin, but Holloway will still make changes if he reverts back to a 4-2-3-1 formation, having experimented with three at the back against Boro.

Martyn Woolford and Magaye Gueye could both return to play in an attacking midfield three, with Ricardo Fuller among those likely to be sacrificed as the Londoners go in search of a first win in seven.

Scotland international Gordon Greer is working his way back to fitness, although he and Kazenga LuaLua remain sidelined for Brighton, while Adrian Colunga returns from suspension and will be on the bench.

Hyypia must choose which five of his seven loanees to include. Darren Bent scored on his debut and will likely lead the line, with Norwich City's Elliott Bennett and Liverpool's Joao Teixeira behind him in midfield.

Brighton are unbeaten in their last six matches against Millwall, with this fixture drawn 1-1 last season.
