Managerless Bristol City remain bottom of the Championship after today's 2-1 loss at home to Peterborough United.

Peterborough United have moved into the top half of the Championship after securing their second away win of the season at managerless Bristol City.

After a goalless first half Posh went ahead through George Boyd, before striker Lee Tomlin made it two for Darren Ferguson's side with a long-range effort.

The forward's shot was straight at David James in the Robins' goal but the former England keeper failed to keep it out.

Marvin Elliot pulled a goal back for the home side but it was not enough for the Championship's bottom side.

They remain two points adrift of Nottingham Forest, Doncaster and Millwall ahead of them while Peterborough move up two places to 11th.
